Maybe you can narrow it down a bit...

Was it a romance? Inspirational?

Was it a contemporary or historical setting?

When did you read it? If you're like me, this can be a tough question. Sometimes, concurrent life events (school, vacation, hospital visit, particular job, residence) help jog the memory. i.e., you read it when you lived in East Podunk, so it would have been before 1997. That way, we'll know it couldn't be a newer book.

Do you remember the main color of the cover? I know this sounds nuts, but it's amazing how many people remember the visual more than the story. And it can help when trying to find a book.

the first things that came to mind were maybe a Harlequin next title since they're mostly older women making life c hanges or possibley Pamela Morsi since one of hers I read a long time ago dealt with a woman and her mother/daughter/granddaughter..

problem is I haven't read it yet but I want to. For some reason these two authors come to mind  Dorothy Garlock  or LaVyrle Spencer

'kay, Bertie. I'm trying to do some searches for you, but it would really help to narrow the query a bit.

I'm using words that are likely to appear in the synopsis. i.e., widow, child, etc.

But... it would really help if you could tell us where you heard about this book. For instance, if you read the backcover while standing in line at the market, we could probably rule out the category books and focus on MMPBs. If you could narrow it down to the past 3-5 years, that would be even better, eliminating all the books published prior to a certain date.

If you can remember if it's a contemporary or historical, that could remove half the possibilities.

Finding a needle in a haystack is a matter of eliminating as much straw as possible.

BTW, you don't need to do a "bump" post if you add a comment. The bump occurs automatically.

Were you looking at someone's shelf from THIS forum? Or was it just some random person? Do you remember the topic of the thread, if you found person on the forum? Probably not, but it's worth a shot... if you can find out which person it was, that person might remember the book...
