Dear Everyone, I have beenlooking for a book I think is no longer in print. The story lines involve a teenage boy named Arthur who is transformed into a dog, a mutt, and forced out of his home(by his mom--!) after he makes fun of an African boy's beliefs. He meets a blind man, tries to give him his name and the man calls him "Awful," because, try as he might, Arthur can't work around his doggy mouth. He spends a whole season as a dog, and learns valuable lessons about tolerance. I have been looking for this book for years. Any help you can give me would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance , for any clues to finding this book! Have a lovely week, and I wish you all a wonderful spring !
Love and hugs, Tina
I found the book! It's called THE DOG DAYS OF ARTHUR CANE--and it's a wonderful story of aboy that learns tolerance in an unusual way--by becoming a lonely, unwanted stray dog. I read this book years ago, and never forgot it, and for the past two days have been going bananas trying to remember the title(the ISBN would have been too much to hope for--!)...I've put it on my Wish List now, and I hope I can get it soon. Thanks for reading my entry, and I hope all of you have a wonderful week and weekend, Happy Bunny Day and a wonderful Passover. I really wish you all well. Isn't this site WONderful?? PBS 4ever!
Hugs and love, Tina
