I am the worlds worst for remembering titles and authors however I do remember the story....

It is a contemporary romance.

The book was about a woman who had taken over her grandmothers match making company in a last ditch effort to have a career. She ends up trying to match a pro football player and of course they fall in love....Anyway it was an absolutely hilarious book. The verbal back and forth between the main characters cracked me up, and I would like to read more from the author.  If any of you have any ideas I would really appreciate it!

 Thanks!

Jess

I'm no authority on contemporaries - in fact I usually just go "huh?" when questions about one come up, but this sounds an awful lot like a synopsis I read on Match Me If You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.  I had it at one time but never did get around to reading it.  Anyway, when I look it up in the database here, it looks like that's probably the book you're talking about.
