The Twelve Terrors of Christmas
The Twelve Terrors of Christmas
Author: John Updike, Edward Gorey (Illustrator)
Edward Gorey's off-kilter depictions of Yuletide mayhem and John Updike's wryly jaundiced text examine a dozen Christmas traditions with a decidedly wheezy ho-ho-ho.

Don't get me wrong, the book was well written, but unlike many other books criticizing Christmas this book was simply not funny in the least. It was boring and filled with cynicism even adults would surely find annoying let alone children. I could be crazy but there was no entertainment value in my opinion.
