Interesting reference, of the type I call "bathroom reading", meaning that you can keep it in the bathroom, and when you're there for a few minutes, flip open to a random page and just start reading! Short biographical entries on everyone who was anyone from Leon Trotsky to The Rolling Stones. Well written and informative.
