Good book although not as good as the other two Drake sisters books I've read. The Christmas part of it was a little cheesy... Still, I'm glad I read it as I've loved the other books in this series.
This story was just ok. It seemed a bit phoned in compared to her other novels. That is not to say it is a bad book overall, just not as good as I am used to reading from her. I found myself more interested in some of the minor characters than I was in the main characters, who felt a bit flat to me. In addition, the "evil plot" kept making me think of a B horror movie (ie The Fog) which gave it a certain cheese factor. I might recommend it to someone who has not yet read any of her other books or who wants background on the Drake sisters (if they, like me, read series out of order).
Very good book continuing the series of the Drake Sisters. A great holiday season read.
Bestselling novelist Kate Drake is one of seven sisters gifted with amazing powers of witchcraft.
The drake sisters are incredible
Couldn't stand how it was written. My 2nd story from her (my first 'magic in the wind') and i wasn't less than impressed by both of them.
for both, the writing was horrendous. i have the whole drake sister series, but after the first two, it seems i'm too afraid to read the next story, Ocean of Fire.
Enjoyed the story very much. Felt it was well thought out and entertaining
This is the second book in the DRAKE SISTERS anthologies. It's the story of Kate, one of the 7 sisters, whose main gift is to speak to people and make them very calm. She's a also a writer by trade, and falls in love with Matt, a construction guy. She must use her magical talents to free a harmful spirit that comes in with the fog and can't be released because of guilt and sorrow it created many, many years ago. The best part of the book for me was the romance. It SIZZLES!! A fast read.
In the first Drake Sisters book, the eldest daughter, Sarah finds her true love. There is a prophecy that all the sisters are destined to fall in love and get married and the youngest sister will have seven daughters. This is the story of Kate, the second oldest sister. She is a mild-mannered writer. Matt Granite has been in love with Kate Drake since the first time he met her. The romance between Kate and Matt is set against the backdrop of an evil entity that manifests itself in a dangerous fog. The fog threatens the whole town and seems intent on destroying everything having anything to do with Christmas. It is up to the Drake sisters to figure out the mystery of the evil and destroy it to save the town.
Very good read. Feehan does not disappoint the reader.
Bestselling novelist Kate Drake is one of seven sisters gifted with amazing powers of witchcraft. Returning home in time for her northern California town's annual Christmas pageant, Kate catches the spirit of the season and decides to open a bookstore in a charming but run-down historic mill. Decorated former U.S. Army Ranger Matt Granit, now a local contractor, doesn't mind working in the undeniably eerie house--not if it means getting closer to Kate. There's something about the quiet, sensual woman that powerfully attracts him.
When an earthquake cracks the mill's foundation and reveals a burial crypt, Kate senses that a centuries-old evil has been unleashed...and that it's coming after her. Though Matt vows to guard her from dusk till dawn, Kate knows she will have to summon all of her and her sisters' powers to battle the darknes threatening to destroy both Christmas and the gift of soul-searing passion her hometown hero wants her to keep forever...

great book. 1 of the drake sisters. if you like the others, you'll love this one.
good story about Kate -- another one of the Drake sisters and how she battles an troubled spirit to help it cross over and at the same time falls in love with Matt.
This was my first book by this author and I am addicted, I am looking for anything else she wrote now. The Drake sisters is a series I will be following for sure!
Thoroughly enjoyable light and entertaining paranormal novel....
Set in a homey American small town, where the annual community Christmas pageant is the highlight of the year, The Twilight Before Christmas treads ground that may feel unfamiliar at first to fans of Christine Feehan's gothic Dark series (Dark Melody, etc.). But things are not always what they appear. In the hands of this imaginative author, something as harmless as a spell of bad weather-specifically, fog in a village that never has fog-rapidly develops into an evil entity that uses Christmas decorations as deadly weapons to prevent said pageant. It's up to Kate Drake and her six sisters (witches all) to save the festivities and the town, with the help of ex-Army Ranger Matt Granite and a few other heroic hunks. As is typical of Feehan's novels, dark suspense and sensual romance co-exist here in unlikely but perfect harmony.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY REVIEW
One of the Drake sisters books. This is Kate's story
This is the second book in the Drake sisters series. I am fascinated with the paranormal storyline and the love the sisters share for all people.

2nd book in the Drake sister saga...it was quick reading and fun reading I do love a happy ending.
I really enjoy this series. Seven sisters all gifted with different powers. This is the first full length book (the first intro of the family was a short story). Highly recommend the series.
