Just thought that I would share this in case someone might want to check into it.  Saw it today on FB.

They have a reading program where if you read 5 books and post reviews for them from their summer reading list, you can get a free book.  You supply your own books but when I looked at the list I have 3 on my TBR already.  They have non-fiction, fiction, and teen/kids.

It runs from June1  through August 31st.  Here is the web site:

I have a few books on the list but haven't decided yet if I'm going to participate. I wonder if posting book reviews on PBS would count as one of the reviews.

I don't think it counts on here. They have certain ones you can do. Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, Blog, etc. But if you have done a review of them before, then you just send the links. You might want to check with Adam though as he is really nice and helpful. He might take the review being done on here.

ETA: Went and checked and the only options are: CBD, Amazon, blog, FB, Twitter and Barnes and Noble. You have to post the review in three spots but you can copy and paste.

I took your advice, Charity, and emailed Adam. He told me that reviews on PBS count. So I signed up.

That's good to know about posting reviews here.

Nice! Did he tell you what to mark them as?

I was kind of excited because I had posted 5 reviews and they finally got marked as approved. But when I went in there are no prizes available right now. Not sure if they add more after a while or what. But these are books I am reviewing and posting anyways so it doesn't hurt:)

Mike Dellosso posted this article on his blog for today concerning book reviews from an author's viewpoint and I thought that it had some good pointers in it.  Many of you are already proficient at writing reviews but thought it was worth posting for those that are maybe thinking about it.

I enjoy reading his blog articles and the one he writes under Michael King.

I emailed Adam again when I didn't see PBS listed as a box to check for the review, and he said to mark PBS reviews as personal blog.

Thanks Virginia! Will keep that in mind. With Amazon and CBD it takes a little bit for the review to show up so I have to wait that amount of time. This will make it where I don't have to wait so long.

Prizes are back up and basically you get to choose one of the books from the reading list. Like I chose Accused by Janice Cantore. So for every 5 books you review you get to pick one. Not too bad and there are some good ones on the list.

I finally read 5 books to get a prize, and I saw on the prize list that there are books with no cover or book info. available. Anyone know what's up with that? I was going to pick my free book but now wonder if I should wait and see if they post more titles.
