I was reading Mary Wine's Alcandian Quest last night, and came across a typo that actually made me laugh out loud:

"Cole's body went rigid with his furry."

Usually, such mistakes make me angry, but this one had me giggling in its ridiculousness. (Of course, repeated misspelling of the word soldier, "solider," had my ire back up.)

Anyone else have any LOL typos they've come across in their reading?

Hehe... a certain type of kinky person would enjoy that typo a lot. ;-)

My thoughts, too, Willa. There's a HUGE convention in nearby Pittsburgh for that lot, and it was one of the first things I thought of when I read that.

Ani, you scared me with that!  LOL.

I can imagine he was a big "furry" distraction for some people.  Blech!

Betsy, I just love when I see your posts. Your sig line always makes me smile, seeing some of my favorite Brits all in a row. (Except for that last one. As a Pens fan, that just offends me, lol).

I just found another instant classic:

"I'll finish as quickly as I can," I said, my throat so tight I sounded hoass.

Hoass.....and the truth is, the character really is.

I was reading a murder mystery in an urban setting, and they kept referring to the "grizzly" scene.  Worse, the author repeated the same mistake in the next book in the story!  Those bears sure do get around!

Not really a typo, but more like bad editing. In At the Bride Hunt Ball by Olivia Parker, a book I really liked was this sentence: "Wearing only her silk stockings and garters, he stroked one of her thighs, urging her to ride high on his hip." Hmm. Kind of took me out of the mood!

Patti, it wasn't how the author intended, but all I could picture in my mind was the hero wearing her silk stockings and garters.  Even now when I reread the book, I have to skip that paragraph to keep that image out of my mind!  The poor author's editor should really have rewritten that sentence before it came to light.
