It's frustrating and a time-waster for us low-tech folks when things like the following happen. 1. why when I'm going thru my WL to mark books to auto-request do I have to do one page at a time? Shouldn't I be able to check items on page 1, then continue to page 2 and check items, then hit auto-request to mark them all? 2. Why when I am in my messages if I'm under "sent" or "archived" messages, when I close one msg does it go back to the received msgs tab instead of staying inside the tab I'm working in? |

1. You can use the "Check all" button at the top of each page to check that page's boxes for you, then hit the "Auto Request" or whatever button you want to apply to every book on that page. 2. No idea why. If you want to read individual messages without losing your place, I suggest opening each message in a new tab or window (right click on the subject line and choose the appropriate option, varies based on your browser). |

You won't get anything but opinions in the forums, you'd have to send in Feedback to get real answers. My guesses 1. For speed. The system only pulls one page up at a time to work with. Were it to pull up your whole wish list to work with at once, it would slow things down. 2. Did you change the message you were in? (such as archiving a sent message or deleted one)vWhat I've noticed in a lot of the tabs on the site is if you change what you were in so that it no longer in the tab you are working in, the site will default back to the firs tab in the menu. I don't recall ever having this problem when I go to just read my sent messages. |

1. Per site suggestion, when you put your shelf on hold for more than 5 days, it recommends you set any WL books at or near the #1 spot to auto-request so I was trying to do that (not entire WL). 2. If I'm in sent or archived msgs tab, I can open and read one, but when I close it, it always sends me back to the received msg tab so that have to select the tab I was in again. |

Would sorting the wishlist by position help for adding them to auto-request? |

How are you closing the msg from your sent or archived tab? I usually just use my browser back button so it just takes me back to the correct tab. I just tested it and even if I delete or archive a message I remain in the tab I am working in. I can't recreate what you are experiencing so I guess I am not much help |

Yep, Betty, that would have made the task easier. I don't often mess with the re-sort functions so forget that sometimes. Thanks, Mel, for trying........ |
