I've tried and tried and the only way to go through my WL is by changing it to author or title, but I'm not able to type a title, author or anything in the search box and get any results.  :(  With all the new books out and gift cards to spend it's really a PITA not being able to search that way.

Are they tweaking something?

Thanks!
Kelli

I was having the same problem yesterday and I just checked now, and it is still a problem. Tweaking, I would guess!

Oops. I was searchign my TBR not my WL.

Do you have any WL books on hold?  If you have any on hold I don't think they come up.  I was double checking a book before I made a move in a game and it didn't bring it up when I had my WL on hold.  I saw it on the WL by sorting by title and going to that page.  But when I did a search and said 0 until I took it off hold.

I have had this problem for several months now. Ever since the last changes they made to the Wish List. It's very annoying to me because I use Search all the time to search my bookshelf, Reminder List, and TBR ....  and I used to be able to search my wishlist.

There are TONS of problems with just using the re-sort buttons, which have been posted about before.

I have been told that this issue only exists in some browsers. I use Internet Explorer 7.  I think the Mozilla users don't have this issue.

No, I don't have any books on hold.  Sorting them doesn't always bring up the book that I'm looking for.  I'm using IE too.  I've always had problems with it ever since the changes but thought by now it would be fixed.

Thanks for the thoughts!

I'm using Firefox and just tried to search my WL.  No problems so it may be an issue with the browser.

I'm using Firefox (most recent version) and I can't search my wishlist and I have 0 books on hold, everything is on automatic request. So if one person with Firefox can and I can't, it doesn't seem to be a browser issue.

I use Firefox and I still have problems. The TBR and RL searches have never worked right for me.

The Wish List search has been broken since their last upgrade. I sent in feedback and they said they were working on it, but that was at least a month ago. Must not be one of their high priorities.

I had sent in feedback too and this was my response received on 12/1/09

We're very sorry that the Wish List Search is problematic.  We are aware of the issue and are trying to solve it.  The problem is that the search actually searches the entire database (not just your Wish List) and when the terms are too common, the number of results is too great to display.

We do hope to come up with a solution to this problem soon and we apologize for the inconvenience.
