I requested a book about 8 months ago and finally made it to the top of the list.  I did not have any conditions on the book as I was not looking for anything other than normal guidelines.  I received a waitlist notification yesterday, accepted it, the "sender" accepted it and than PMed me about the condition sighting there were stickers that came with the book to mark some of your favorite things and the stickers had been placed in the book.  She said she would cancel the transaction if I wanted.  She cancelled per my request but now the book came back to me as top of the list.  How do I decline the book but not lose my place in line?

are you sure it is the same person that has the book posted because if she cancelled the book she shouldn't be able to repost it until after you have received another offer...if for some reason it is the same person you could PM them before they accept it and ask her to not accept it.

Yes, make sure it is the same sender.  Don't cancel on your end or you will be removed from the wishlist line entirely.  If it is the same sender, this shouldn't have happened - you should conact the site using the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Christy -- that's not quite right. The sender can repost a book any time after clicking I Cannot Mail. I think you're thinking of the case where the requestor gets declined because of her conditions, then she cannot request that book again until it's been taken by somebody else.

Sandy -- if this is the same sender, she needs to click I Cannot Mail again, and you need to temporarily put a condition on your account that says "If this request is for the book XXX then please decline it if the stickers have been used." After the sender clicks I Cannot Mail, she can immediately repost the book. You request it, she sees your requestor conditions and clicks My Book Does Not Meet Requestor's Conditions. This automatically puts you back at #1 on the wish list and the book gets offered to #2.

This book sounds like it is unpostable.  Stickers on pages in the book?

If the stickers came with the book and have not been written on, the book should be postable, even if the stickers have been placed in the book, unless they are covering text or in some way "damage" the book.
