Undead and Unwed - Queen Betsy, Bk 1
Author: MaryJanice Davidson
It's been a helluva week for Betsy Taylor. First, she loses her job. Then, to top things off, she's killed in a car accident. But what really bites (besides waking up in the morgue dressed in a pink suit and cheap shoes courtesy of her stepmother) is that she can't seem to stay dead. Every night she rises, with a horrible craving for...  more »

I was disappointed with this book. I was excited to read it, but was disappointed almost as soon as I began reading it. The main character is annoying and completely unlikeable and I could have done without the explicit sex scenes - they were very out of place & added nothing to the book! I have not decided yet if I will bother to read the rest of the series.

I really wanted to like this book, but I couldn't even make it through the whole thing. The main character was just too annoying for me. I didn't like Betsy from the start, and I hoped as the book went on she would become less obnoxious. No such luck I'm afraid.

This is a breezy Sunday afternoon read. The heroine is a cross between Paris Hilton and Sailor Moon - bumbling, vain, obsessed with labels, and yet very loyal to her friends.
I was not impressed with the graphic sex, and the one liners get a bit tiresome.
Still, it's a fair enough "brain candy" book, that doesn't take itself too seriously, and doesn't waste your time trying to get you to take it seriously either.

Loved this book enough to read seven more in the series. This is of the Charlaine Harris- Sookie Stackhouse type of vampire book. Contemporary, flirty, fun, sassy, sexy. Of the series, this was one of my favorites. I'm never a big fan of female characters who are "dumb" but this one works despite her flighty, self-centered behavior. Lots of hilarious one-liners and silly puns. So fun to read you don't want to put it down. I wasn't sure until closer to the end if her relationship with Sinclair was going to be hit or miss, but I found the love scene at the end pretty convincing.

I thought this book was quite good. I thought it was funny, a vampire that is addicted to designer shoes. If you like the Sookie Steakhouse series. I would also recommend this book to read. This book was a quick and easy read.
