Well written and fast paced.

Immediately engaging and builds the characters and storyline quickly while keeping things moving. A lot of political intrigue ,action, personal conflicts and just a hint of sex...it is the Roman Legion after all.

Believe it or not, this was a recommendation on my Facebook feed based off my books read 'likes'. I've been in between books and picked it up.

Cato and Macro are believable characters and the dynamics of their relationship is interesting enough that I've requested the next two books in the series!
