Brockmann does a good job with a slightly unbelievable premise. You're rooting for the princess, the dad and both the kids by the time the story ends.
Princess Katherine Wyndham becomes Kathy Wind to locate her long-lost brother and her cover is as a Nanny for the handsome tyhcoon Trey Sutherland. Caring for Trey's kids came more naturally than any royal duty.
Early Brockmann - still hunky man and still a very enjoyable read. My favorite part? The book is dedicated to her son, Jason, "who has a thing for princesses". 1999. And for those of us who truly
do care about Suz and her son, that's just the nicest
Princess Katherine Wyndham is on a mission to locate her older brother who was kidnapped as a child and presumed dead. This leads her to handsome Tycoon Trey Sutherland who may know something about her brother. Since the only way Katherine can get in to talk to Trey is to pose as a Nanny looking for a job, she ends up caring for Trey's children. Soon she finds that she is a natural at caring for children...and for their father.
I'm working my way through Suzanne Brockmann's backlist and find myself enjoying each story. This one was no exception. Even though the premise is a bit unbelievable, I found both the hero and heroine are interesting characters. The children are also well-drawn and gave the story more depth. This book is part of the "Royally Wed" series and makes me want to pick up the other books in the series even though they are written by other authors. My rating: 4 Stars.
Princess Katherine seems to have the magic touch for healing Trey's dysfunctional family. Forget the premise of looking for the missing crown prince--it's pretty unconvincing anyway. Instead, focus on this wonderful tale of how one woman can make a difference! Truly a keeper!
Read the Royally Wed series of Wynborough in order: Royal Baby on the Way, Undercover Princess, The Princess's White Knight, The Pregnant Princess, & Man Mercenary Monarch.
