I have a book I held on my bookshelf, The Kite Runner. I had a swap on another site that fell through. I now want to unhold it, but cannot figure out how.

While looking at my bookshelf, I click the box on the right across from the held book.  But I do not see somewhere to unhold your held books. I really just want to unhold it instead of relist it because I don't want to go to the end of the FIFO line. (There are 1086 copies available).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if a book is on hold on your book shelf, doesn't that already mean that it's not in FIFO?  That was my understanding, but I could be completely wrong.

correct, it isn't posted now, but it was before I held it. I thought you could hold it and then unhold it and not lose your FIFO spot.

It only holds your spot if you put your whole shelf on hold.

LOL Jessica...Blargle is one one my daughter's favorite words, so I had to laugh. I also found that out the hard way--I had put all my bookshelf books on "hold" when they first came out with that feature, not realizing it would be like deleting them from the FIFO queue...thought it would be like vacation hold, only individually. Well, lo and behold, when I put them back, the posted date was 4/22/08....which was several YEARS after I'd posted some of those. And some of them are still there, too! Ah well, they'll go eventually. Blargle indeed.
