My 8 year old girl is into unicorns, can anyone recommend any.

We have got some Bruce Colville books and wondered what else was out there!

The Unicorn Treasury, which is a collection of different short stories and the book A Glory of Unicorns are both good starts

As a children's librarian may I recommend 2 series.  There are 8 book in each of these series.  Too many titles to mention here.

Unicorns of Balinor by Mary Stanton

Unicorn's Secret by Kathleen Duey.

They are available in paperback and most librairies should own them.

The Unicorn Treasury isbn:0385419309 is full of wonderful stories. Also The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle (might be a bit advanced depending on how good a reader she is) is wonderful.  And if she hasn't read the Time Series by Madeleine L'engle, the third one "A Swiftly Tilting Planet" is really good and has a unicorn as the main character (again might be a bit harder) and the seventh Narnia book "The Last Battle" has a unicorn main character.  Both of those are great series to get into if she hasn't already.

My 8 year old is a big unicorn fan too.  :)  (Sarah's Unicorn is her favorite book!)  She's recently read Linda Chapman's "My Secret Unicorn" series and really enjoyed them.

Since she is 8... i would also recomment C.S. Lewis' Narnia series... there are unicorns and many other mythical creatures! it's a really fun series to read together.
