I am posting a book that is obviously a hardcover, but when i punch the ISBN in, it says 'Unknown Binding'.

If you are searching for a book you want to order, but it says Unknown Binding, what do you think of? Do you think 'Uh that must be a library book?' or something?

Is it less likely to be ordered because they don't know what binding it is? Is there any way to update the system to update the info to make it a Hardcover?

Tracey, I had this come up once when I had a CD set on my wishlist but the book type was listed as hardcover.  I PM'd Sherry (royaltech) & she forwarded the information to the higher-ups.  If you use the feedback link on the bottom of the screen, you can let the PBS team know the problem.

When I look at my wishlist, there are some that are listed with unknown bindings, but when I click on the book's information page, I can see that those are books with library binding.

"Unknown binding" doesn't always mean library binding. They can be regular hardcovers or paperbacks, too. I find that older books and/or books from non-U.S. publishers are particularly prone to showing up with no binding info in the database.
