A behind-the-scenes look at the truth behind the science fiction of the show's first 2 blockbuster seasons. It also has great info on the filming and writing of the early episodes. A must for any old-school X-Phile!

(WHERE DID THE FEGEE MERMAID COME FROM? WHAT'S REALLY LOCATED IN AREA 51? WHAT MAGAZINES MIGHT YOU FIND UNDER MULDER'S MATTRESS? AND JUST HOW DOES SCULLY TAKE HER COFFEE?)

These are only a few of the pressing questions being discussed every week as fans of The X-Files rehash the latest episode of this provocative, award-winning show. And here, in The Unofficial X-Files Companion, are all the answers-as well as fun facts you won't find anywhere else.

FOR EXAMPLE
Gillian Anderson once had her Vancouver house cleansed of an unusual presence by a Native American Shaman.
The dog in "Ice" is the real life father of David Duchovny's dog, Blue.
The bizarre performers in "Humbug" belong, in real life, to the Jim Rose Traveling Sideshow. They actually do everything seen during the show and a few other things too wild for even the X-Files.
From werewolves to pheremones to cannibalistic rituals, from psycic channeling to artificial intelligence to rapid aging disease, The Unofficial X-Files Companion offers "deep background" information on the programs fascinating and often bizarre topics. Bloopers, trivia tests, and behind-the-scenes details about the show and its key characters make this book the ultimate unofficial reference for all X-Philes. The truth, you just may find, is in here.
