I received this book yesterday and it has a lot of marker along the top.  I'm pretty sure it's not postable, but I wanted to double check with you all.  It's hard to explain, so I'm going to try to link to photos of it.

Thanks!

That's a tough one - if it were me, it wouldn't bother me, but someone could complain that there is writing on a text page, which the help center says is a no-no.  I wouldn't post it.

I agree with Lisa.  Since the marks extend onto the text pages, I wouldn't post it.

Should I mark it RWAP?  I wasn't sure if it was someone's wacky version of a remainder mark

is that perhaps someone's version of a remainder mark...if so it is still postable....it is not writing...it does not obscure text...it is not a stain...I probably wouldn't have posted it because I wouldn't have gotten it (unless here on PBS) but, I don't see that it is unpostable.

Shannon I don't see where it would be RWAP!!!

That one's a "headscratcher"!  I don't know if it would bother me to read it or not.  I'd have to see it in person.  I don't think I'd buy it at the UBS if it weren't a book I really, really wanted.

I don't think it qualifies as RWAP as that looks like either a remainder mark (poorly done though) or perhaps like someone marked over a possible stamp (like libraries do) on the top of the pages, but if it bothers you, you could mark it as such and hope for the best from the sender.

No, it doesn't really bother me.  I can still read it, so I'm good!  I didn't mark it RWAP, but I still have to decide what I'm going to do with it after I've read it.

Thanks for all your help ladies!

It looks fine to me. The markering on the top is definitely "remaindering" if with a very heavy hand. Inside, it doesn't block anything or obscure, or smell, get sticky, etc, and I would just accept it A-OK.

I agree, I also think it is a remainder mark, and I don't think it makes it unpostable.

Maybe they were blacking out their name or something.  It wouldn't bother me.  I think it is ok to post.

Looks like someone made a remainder mark with one of those rubber stamp refill bottles with the spongy top and it bled down into the pages.  I think it's technically postable, but to be honest, I would not post it.
