On the Book Bazaar Forum, there are many people saying things about 'unpostables'.

What are unpostables???? I can't figure it out.

Sorry, I am a new member...this is new to me :P

Thanks!

Unpostables are books that can not be posted to the PBS system because they do not meet the posting criteria.  Could be any number of reasons: water damaged, stained, advanced reader copy, etc.

Just to add some clarification:  Unpostables can be swapped for a credit, but only through "unofficial" transactions such as through the discussion forums (primarily the Book Bazaar).  They should not be posted as a regular book in the system.  It is not acceptable club behavior to post an unpostable to the system to your bookshelf and then PM the requestor about it when it is requested asking if they are willing to accept it.

for the specifics as to what officially makes a book unpostable, see the posting guidelines in the help center.

I would like to further say that some "issues" are not unacceptable to the system but a member may feel the book is not up to their standards so can offer it with a disclaimer in the unpostables. For credit or not. Or with another order as a freebie.

In alot of cases, even if they are "unpostable, they are readable.
