I've had this book on my bookshelf for years and finally read it this past week ... loved it ... Ms Siddons brings the characters to life and makes you wish they were real people ... I loved the way she describes the Northeast coast ... somewhere I have not been yet and now I really want to go see " Up Island " for myself . I found myself laughing, crying and cheering while reading this book - a true sign of an excellent read .
