I know many of us have been having problems with DC not showing up here at PBS or at the USPS website.  I have been in ongoing email discussions with a couple of people at the USPS trying to figure out what is going on.  It seems to be isolated to PBS since other services (i.e.paypal shipping) are having the DC processed "normally".  I emailed R&R about this last week and as far as they knew, there was nothing wrong on the PBS end of the system.  So now I await another USPS email to see if we can get this resolved.

Thanks for the update, Mary.  Hmm, a mystery.

I have also noticed that this past week--it was working great for awhile, with scans showing up multiple times along the way. All the books I've mailed this past week just say "USPS #12345678blahblah" and there is never an update. It used to give the number and say something to the effect that it was generated in St. Louis Park, MN, and then there would usually be at least one more scan along the way since there is a distribution center just across the river in St. Paul. And now, plugging the numbers in at USPS just say, "No information about this number. Please contact sender." It used to always say something about the number being generated by the sender somewhere but had not been scanned yet or something. Something is definitely 'up.'

I mean, I'm getting the 'quick credit' just fine, but the DC part doesn't seem to be working.

Some one PM'd me and mentioned that when they have used the custom DC feature, there was not an issue with showing the scans and wondered if it  could be Endicia.    I haven't sent out a BOB in a while.  Does it still use the old label, or can we do the printable postage?   It would be interesting to see if an old style label shows up as well.  Then we could probably narrow it down to Endicia.

Got the following email this morning from R&R.

"Dear Mary, Thanks so much for providing more information.  This appears to be an issue with endicia.com (our printable postage provider) giving the DC codes to USPS.  We have contacted them, and hope to have the problem solved soon. Have a great day! The PaperBackSwap Team"

Hopefully this will all be straightened out soon.!!!

I just read that the problem has been traced to Endicia...

Thanks for all the work Mary S.

You rock!

Ever thought of getting into editing book info in the database? http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/view_topic.php?t=60867

Not assuming that you have not started already...

The situation has been corrected...our dc #'s now show on usps.com .

Yay again to Mary S. for helping R&R, and to R&R for fixing the issue!
