I just heard tonight that my niece ran away again.  She's with her gf hiding out, but no one knows where.  She texted my brother and told him she was okay, but wouldn't say why she ran away or where she might be.  After the last time she ran away I talked to her and thought she would come to me if she was having a problem, but apparently I was wrong ;(

Tammy....sorry to hear this. Can you try to call her cell and talk to her or text her?

I've called and texted--no response.  She doesn't want to be found.  She's a really smart girl--I have no doubt they've planned it this time.

We are here for you, Girlie!   Maybe just text her once more and say that you will leave her some food or shampoo or anything she needs... at a place she agrees to.  That way she knows she can trust you and you can't just haul her back to her parents' house.

You've probably already done all that tho. Hmmmmmmm.

Thanks for all the support.  Lots have went on in her life since I posted about her.  Her grandfather died (other side of the family) and she took it really hard.   Her mother and her bf are having serious relationship  problems (he wants kids and she already has 3 and has a tubal) and some other things.  She's a strong kid and she's got a good head on her shoulders.  She knows school is important.  I hope she comes around pretty quick.

Again, thanks for the support.  It is much appreciated.

Still nothing.  She's missed 8 days of school now.

Oh goodness!  Is she afraid to show up at school.  There are so many other options.  Keep texting her, maybe she will contact you for some direction.  If she wants to be on her own, then she needs to do it the right way.  I'll be thinking good thoughts for her.

Just checking in, Tammy.  I hadn't posted to you but I've had you (and her) in my thoughts.  Hope she's safe and getting herself together.

Update:  She's home.  Arrangements are being made for her to live with family members.  There may be more to the story, just like we thought last time, but were assured that there was nothing going on.  I don't know.  Her gf's parents are sending her out of town to live with relatives.  We have no idea where they were staying.  I'm glad they were found safe.  Thanks for all your support, everyone.

Tammy, glad she is safely home. I hope that the relatives she will be with are more open and understanding.

That is such good news, Tammy.  I wouldn't be a teenager again for any amount of anything!  It's so difficult even without bigotry.

I just hope that like Charlie said, she is able to be with family members that will help her through this and not just ignore why she keeps running away.  Keeping her in my thoughts.
