Update: I had two cases where the sender covered up the original address with a new address after the label was printed with DC. In both cases the books arrived at the right location (the new address) within a week of being mailed. Apparently besides scanning the barcode, someone at the PO is actually looking at the address so it gets routed correctly. :-)
Original Post: If someone printed the wrapperfor a book order on PBS with postage and DC and then covered the original address with a label with another address, will the package go to the address it's addressed to, or is the document tracking linked to the original address which is now no longer visible?
Hope that makes sense. If not, tell me and I'll try to clarify.

It should get delivered to the person whose address is on it. However, the barcode includes the original destination's ZIP code, so it's possible that it will be delayed or misrouted.
