Today I had tried to print out a label with DC and it wouldn't let me.  It said that DC was not available for that address.  When I went to the post office to mail my books I asked them about it and they said that you can use DC anywhere in the US.  Anyone know why I couldn't print the label?
Thanks

Hi Aaron - from the help docs:   http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/search.php?terms=can%27t+use+dc

I can't use PBS-DC for this address? Why not?

The help docs will give more details on what you can do, but this is the reason:

If you have chosen to add PBS Delivery Confirmation to your wrapper, but you get a message when you try to print, telling you that "Delivery Confirmation cannot be used for this address," that means that the requestor's address is not on the list of USPS-validated addresses.

Thanks.  I don't know why I didn't think to check there first.

LOL - I have done the same thing on occasions.   My biggest frustration is when I would search and the results didn't come close to what I asked, I would post and someone would say - here it is in the help docs.....arrrggghhh.   That is why we participate in the forums - to help each other out.  You taught me something the other day - so it is all good :)

Sometimes it's a problem with Endicia the company that PBS gets it's postage from and not the address.  Usually when I get that message-if I come back a bit later it prints fine.

Mary ~ I had tried that too, several times.  I had to send out 6 books yesterday and that was the only one it didn't work on.

That is strange because PBS validates the address when you enter it and won't let you change it if the address isn't valid.  When I moved this summer, it took me over a month to get to the right person at USPS to make my address valid in the USPS system so I could use it here.  I e-mailed the PBS team and they told me they couldn't help me because the address has to be validated.

I've had that happen several times. All but one time it eventually let me print the DC. Sometimes it was the next day or way later the same day but it eventually worked. So usually the problem is with that Endica or whatever it is.

The one time it didn't ever work was when I was sending a book just further up into N. California.
