This is the 11th Spenser novel & I think they are just getting better & better. These are fun, quick reads ... if you are already a Spenser fan, I need say no more. If you aren't, give them a try!
Susan Silverman has received her PHD and goes to San Francisco. Spenser is depressed and thinks work might be the answer. Very good book
Excellent read. I'm a big van of the Spenser novels - and I had missed this one. This is the one where Susan breaks with him and goes to CA.
One of the earlier Spenser novels. Great series!
Classic Spenser with a little more angst. Great read as always with Parker.
Another great Spencer detective novel. This one helps to explain Spenser's relationship with Susan.
A good spenser read but more subdued than others.
Parker is Parker, always a good read.
The most dangerous man to cross is one who isn't afraid to die. But the most deadly is one who doesn't want to live. And Spenser has just lost the woman who made life his #1 priority.
So when a religious sect kidnaps a pretty young dancer, no death threat can make Spenser cut and run. Now a hit man's bullet is wearing Spenser's name. But Boston's big boys don't know Spenser's ready and willing to meet death more than halfway.
"Tough, wisecracking, unafraid and unexpectedly literate --in many respects the very exemplar of the species." (The New York Times)
From NY Times: "Tough, wisecracking, unafraid, lonely, unexpectedly literate - in many respects the very exemplar of the species."
Don't we all wish we had a Spenser in our lives?
Love ALL the Spencer books!
