In this fifth Lucy Stone mystery, small-town Maine mother of four and part-time newspaper reporter Lucy Stone has volunteered to be the newest member on the Tinker Cover Library board. Lucy begins to wonder what she's gotten herself into, though, when the town's librarian is found shot in the library's basement during the first library board meeting that Lucy attends.

The Lucy Stone mystery series is a lot of fun, and this story offers the reader another fun mystery!

Who knew volunteering to be on the board of directors for the town's library could be so complicated? Only if you are Lucy Stone, who starts out wondering what to wear for her first board meeting, and ends up trying to solve a couple murders and a theft. Good read! I also like the way the author is developing and maturing the peripheral characters in the book, her children, friends, etc. Not to mention Lucy herself. Highly recommend this series.
