Dorothy Lee's anthropological work on language, values and culture is in my opinion some of the most important work done in the world in the last century. What she has learned and conceptualized from other cultures could have a significant effect upon human consciousness if people were willing to open their minds and break out of their cultural mindsets. This small book is not as great or as meaningful as her brilliant Freedom and Culture, but it is nonetheless a very worthwhile read, as is all her work.
