OK, here it is. It is past midnight and I am reading The Indiscretion by Judith Ivory and I want to strangle the heroine.  She is driving me nuts and I still have 150 pages to go.  I just want to skip to the end and read the HEA.  LOL OK I feel better now getting that out. :)

LOL!  Isn't she a wench?  It's at the house party, right?  Trust me, the end is worth waiting for:P  I totally love that book.

Ack!  No, no, no!  Don't let that put you off reading the book!  My Gawd, it's a great book!  Seriously, Sherron's just hitting that part of the story - so typical of Judith Ivory - where you want to strangle one of these people, but I promise, she's going to love this book.  The ending makes the frustration factor so worth it.  Trust me:P

Oh, no Kim I am just getting to the second part.  I don't know if I can take anymore of her stupidity.  LOL  But, of course I will.  Off to go read.

You'll realize you liked it when you get to the last couple of chapters, Sher.  I had a hard time with Lydia myself, but she pulls her head out of her backside in enough time to keep from wrecking the story.  Read the scene in her closet & tell me how you feel about it after that:P

Oh, and where are you?  Are they back in London yet?

Yeah, she's not evil or bad, or really even TSTL.  She's spoiled, but it's not really in a little princess, overindulged way.  She's spent most of her life being treated like an invalid & like she was incapable of doing anything, and she sorta gets away from home & family on a once in a lifetime, on her own, little adventure thing, but it blows up on her and she ends up having this huge adventure that changes her whole life.  Where she gets really irritating is when she has to go back to her life and it doesn't fit her anymore, but she's all in denial about it at first, trying to pretend to her family like she's still little miss prim & proper, and the hero shows up unexpectedly and won't let her get away with it.  Watching her lash out at him & the way she fights him and acts in the process of hanging onto this lie, really makes you want to strangle her.  But I can honestly say that when she really comes into her own, learns how to stand on her own two feet, etc. and admits to her parents that she isn't who they think she is anymore, is when I really started to like and respect her, and feel like she truly deserved her HEA.  Old Lydia - pain in the ass that she is - really does good.  Yeah, all of this only comes to a resolution near the end of the book - and that's when you kinda go,  wow, this is a good book! - but it really is worth the irritation.  When you turn the last page it all catches up and clicks into place, and you realize you just read something really exceptional.  It was for me anyway.  I'm always torn between that one and Untie My Heart for my favorite Judith Ivory books.

Oh - I should say...  The hero calls her "Miss Prissy Brit" (he's American & she's British), so that should give some idea of how they are together..:P

Well said Kim.  I just finished reading it and it was very good.  I really enjoyed the book even though I wanted to strangle her a couple of times.
