A brilliant book, combining narratives from survivors of incest and the broader context of the impact of abuse on the individual self. I used to use this book when I taught a college class on victimization. It is both academic and extremely readable, assisting the reader in understanding the psychological effects of incest as well as understanding survivors themselves.
