Scholastic Reading Level 6 "Their path to the state finals started with the six grade championship. Mrs. Olinski had expected victory, for her team was quick and informed and worked together perfectly. No one had expected them to trounce the other two sixth grades, but they did. Their victory was so profound that the sixth-grade mathe teacher, Mrs. Sharkey, confined to the musci teacher, Ms. Masolino, that for the first time in history of Epiphany Middle School there was a chance - just a possibility, mind you - that a sixth grade team might beat the seventh grade. Author is a Newberry Award Winner.

Great story! I liked how the charicters were asked questions in the book and they triggered a flashback that the certain charicter told you about! Definantly reccomened it for anyone (like me :) who has had experience on an academic team at any age! 5 out of 5 stars!

this is a very interesting and very well-written book about the world of junior-high academic/scholoar's/brain bowl/competitions. i gave it three stars because the reading level is about that of a junior-high student; quite lower than my current level; but it really is a very well-written book.
