This was a fun read and interesting also! The story is basically about a scientist who is part of a study of a new "fossil". This fossil is not what it appears to be and the twists & turns go from there. The ending is not what you would expect, it isn't the typical end for this type of book and I eagerly await a sequel.

After one hundred and fifty pages of this book, nothing scary or interesting had happened. The author takes that many pages to convince you how perfect and superior to everyone the lead character and his woman are. I'm guessing the author wanted his readers to like and relate to his protagonist, but he just made me hate the man and his wife. I couldn't relate to them at all. They were annoyingly self righteous. I was so bored after this many pages, and I was like. "Ok. I get it, enough already, they are perfect!, Ugh!" Nobody is perfect, so how are we to relate to that? The back of the book sounded awesome, but I'm sorry. If after 150 pages of a 300 page book, no action has happened, then you've wasted your money. By then, I didn't care about the characters or what happened to them. I tossed the book in my second hand giveaway box.

This is a fast, light read. There are some aspects of the story that never get fully explained. But if you're looking for a quick thriller, this is it.

The book's story line is very good and does catch your interest. It has been described as one of the scariest books and one that will keep you up at night. I didn't find this to be true but it is a very good read.
