Good clean historical romance.
Darlene Mindrup wrote three Viking books: Viking Pride; Viking Honor; and Viking Bride. I loved this series, as they are different from the usual Contemporary and Historical books that I'm used to. I hope she writes more of them.
Viking Pride is the 1st in the series, and is about a young woman, Arietta, whose older sister, Gwyn, was kidnapped by Viking raiders, who came and plundered their village and murder the men. Gwyn had warned Arietta to run and hide in a cave, when a warning blast of a horn was heard. Ten years later, the three blasts of the warning horn is heard again, and Arietta, once again takes refuge in her little cave. Until a woman appears at the entrance, and calls her name. She is overjoyed to see her sister, until she sees a Viking behind her. Arietta grabs her knife and yells, "A Viking! You have betrayed me." And so the story begins..
