I can't recommend this book more highly. I read it in about five hours because I couldn't put it down. It is very well written and the mystery should keep you guessing til the end. Or in my case, I had it figured out and then the author would throw a wrench in to make me doubt myself but...I was right all along. Still, an excellent read!

One of my favorite books too!  In fact, it's staying on my "keeper" shelf.

LeeAnne, I read it several months ago and enjoyed it, too. Nancy Pickard's book has been honored several times:

  • 2007 Macavity Award for Best Novel
  • Finalist 2007 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Novel

  • Finalist 2006 Agatha Award for Best Novel
  • Finalist 2007 Anthony Award for Best Mystery Novel

I had been looking at it for a while and when a friend offered to lend me her copy I jumped on it. If I actually owned the book, it would go on my keeper shelf. As it is, the book is packaged up and due to go in the mail tomorrow. **Psst! Anna! I'm almost done with your book! It will be going in the mail soon too!**
