The future isn't what it used to be. Author Teixeira works at Intel and has been involved in some cutting edge projects to integrate virtual reality and other technologies into our lives and institutions. He creates a version of the near future where a workforce of test-tube almost-humans (t-breeds) provides cheap labor and living organ-farms. These creatures must be programmed, and the story centers around one such programmer. Magical realism, cyberpunk, and industrial espionage themes wind through this well-paced story.
