I want to do this! I've seen other challenges where you can pick from several different categories to read. Or read a new author, finish a series, etc.

I would like to be in the challenge, also.

Let's see if we can brainstorm and come up with one guys. :)

Since Vicki just sent me a PM, I thought I'd stop by with challenge category ideas (though whether or not I would participate is another issue.  I'm afraid of starting too many challenges!). :P

Genres: fantasy, science fiction, nonfiction, possibly adult-with-teen-appeal?  book on the middle school end more than the older teen one?

Awards: Newbery, Printz, book by a Margaret A. Edwards Award winner?

other challenges have year, protaganist, and narration categories, such as told in third-person from mutliple viewpoints or pre-1950.  A challenge should get some folks out of their normal limits - so that might mean a category for a book published before, say, 1990 (I could suggest a few if you're stuck!!).

Britney,

Thanks so much for the suggestions.  Let's see if maybe we can put together a challenge here.  Anyone interested?

I'm interested, I think it would be good to do a customizable challenge. Like offer many categories and then people can choose a certain number to do.

How about a category for the oldest YA book on your PBS TBR!

Lacy,

I like that idea, too, where the challenge has a list, and you can pick out which ones you want to read from.  :)

How about a series challenge? Read all the books in a certain series.

I think there should be different challenge choices too. Add debut author to the list too! (meaning its the authors first YA Novel).

New to you authors would be cool too. (In other words, you are reading a novel written by an author that you have never read before.)
