I voted for the female coach who helps refugee kids from war-torn countries.   It is a tough decision to decide who to vote for - there are more than one worthy candidate.  I voted for her because it takes determination and lots of effort and dedication to help refugee kids.  I tend to vote for ordinary people over celebrities who do good deeds.

I had a really hard time figuring out who to vote for.

I voted for Dr. Catherine Hamlin Doctor who pioneered life-changing surgery for poor African women.  I have seen her on several TV shows and what she does for these girls (Most are under 18) is amazing.  She repairs fistulas in girls who bear children so young that their young bodies do not respond well to the birth.  She really gives them their lives back.

I pretty much wanted to vote for all of them but Angelina....I know she does good work, but she is too Hollywood for my taste.

I had a hard time deciding, but I ended up voting for the Professer at VT.  I remember being really inspired when I read about who he was and what he did for those students.  He didn't have time to prepare for that decision....it was the ultimate sacrifice and I think it was very heroic.

I found all of them admirable, even the celebrities, but I do find it easier for them, considering that they already have finances and the public's attention.  My other choice would have been Dr. Hamlin, because she has dedicated her life to improving the quality of life to these women who otherwise would remain societal outcasts.  It was very hard for me to choose between her and the VT Professor.  Extrememly hard.

I had a tough time choosing.  In the end I voted for Wesley Autry.  I remember that story and I remember how it brought me to tears when it was on the news.  (And, I felt bad because he didn't have that many points)

By the way, you can vote once a day until the 10th. So maybe tomorrow I'll vote for someone else.
