This is a good story with a Saxon heroine and a Norman hero as the main characters. It takes place in 1067. I liked another book by this author and decided to read this even though I am not a big fan of stories taking place in this time period. Well, I was engaged from the first chapter. Garnett is a wonderful storyteller and she hooked me right off with this book. An excellent romance with a strong heroine.
