Does anyone know where I could get a good microscope to use with my grandkids.  I got one 44 years ago and it lasted thru me, homeschooling my girls and other kids.  Now my grandkids are here and it finally wore out last year.  We are a science family and have always used one a lot for learning and fun.

I dont' have a lot of money it would have to be $50 or under  and I want one that has a light under neath not just the mirror.  I checked ebay but they didn't look the greatest.  I know schools sometime sell their old ones but I haven't caught any yet.  I'd like one better than a student one if possible but just one that works well will do.  Anyone know of any reliable sources?  Thanks!

For $50 and under you will have to buy used and be patient. I scooped up the one Sonlight sells for high school use for $25 at a homeschooler's group tag sale. Prior to that we were given some as (new) as gifts that were in the $50 range which are pieces of junk to be honest.

Try also Craig's List. If you are on homeschool local chat groups (yahoo groups etc) put the word out that you want to buy one. Good luck with your search!!
