This is a pulp fiction western novel by Zane Grey. It also happens to be a very good horse story for all ages. Zane Grey was a prolific western author with an extensive knowledge of the old west. Written in his trademark style, this book is the story of Lucy-a beautiful rancher's daughter and the savage wild mustang stallion, Flame. I won't tell you that this gal gets her handsome cowboy and her magnificent horse but I will say it is a wild ride to the gripping end: lots of cowboys, gunfights and wild horse round-ups.
