Just posted a WL book and as I often do, I went and looked at the account of the member who the book is being held for. That member has no books posted and her WL is empty. It is obviously an inactive member. How would this happen that it is being held for a member with no wishlist? Never come across this before!

Maybe that WL book was the only book she wants right now. And she might have an empty shelf because she doesn't want to pay postage to ship anything. Perhaps she waits til she gets a book, then posts one. It doesn't mean she is "obviously an inactive member." Just wait the 2 days and see.

Yes, that seems like the only possibility, however odd it seems. I've just never come across a member with only one book they are wishing for...oh well...

I know some folks don't have credits on hand so they only put one or a few on WL at a time depending on how many credits they think they can quickly get their hands on.

Right now I don't have books I'm mailing out because we just moved.  Once I get my shipment in and unpack I'll be posting.  So maybe people are moving?  I had my address updated so when wl books came up on my list I could still get them.  But I couldn't mail out books.

since I have been a member here there have been several occasions when I have cleaned off my shelf of all the books and then slowly started over putting stuff on there.

Sometimes I clear off my book shelf and only send out wish listed books.

I however, never have just one book on my wish list at a time.

It's now official, it was an inactive member. I am betting that there were originally more books on the WL but as they were offered and not requested they were removed from the WL...I just got to be the person who posted the last book on the WL. The bright side is that now my book can go to someone who wants it, and the original member who got the WL offer will not be holding up any more lines.

Great attitude Sally!  One less inactive for us to worry about.

An account would have been put on hold after very few missed WL offers so they couldn't have left more than a couple books on their WL. Could have been someone who came here and WLed the one book and then figured out how the site worked and that they weren't getting the book right away and they toddled off immediately.

Glad your book is now freed up to go to someone who is waiting to read it!
