What does this mean: on my shelf are 2 books with big red W's suggesting they are wishlisted by somebody, but no one is asking for them and if you search the club wishlist there are no wishers there. One has had the W for about 3 months, the other for over 3 years.

If it's kind of a faded W, that means that there is a wish out there that cannot be fulfilled right now. Usually the other member has her account on vacation hold with no credits. The one that's been there for 3 years is most likely an abandoned account that was automatically put on hold by the system after a few missed requests or wish-list offers.

Yes, the W's are rather faded. Thanks for the explanation, Cathy.

It just means that someone had the book on Hold on their Wish List when the book switched over from being Wish Listed to being available. It doesn't necessarily mean the accounts are abandoned. I have a good number on my WL that way. I put a bunch on Hold before we moved a year and a half ago and haven't gotten around to taking them off of Hold or converting them to my Reminder List yet.
