I added a book to my WL last week and was number 7 of  7. Today I got an offer for 'similar' book so I went to see which version I had on my WL since when I added it there were no other versions to add. Is there a way to tell what is different about the version offered to me?

Unless the PBS listings say the difference, I check Amazon.

ok, just answered my own question---  book I'm being offered is 1997 version and my WL versions are 2010 and 2011. It is a book where the publishing date DOES make a difference as to whether or not I want it.

Sometimes also the book that is 'similar' is not the same book - maybe you have a WL book that's about a person, and this is a similar book in that it's about that person, but not the same book.  Hope that makes sense.   Pat

The similar books email should not be coming for books like Pat is talking about. The similar emails should only come on books that are the SAME book, just a different version - ISBN is different because of print date, binding, publisher, etc. If it comes for something that is not the same book, then there is a bad link that should be reported.
