Okay, so I'm looking at my daily digest and my wish list this morning and here's what I see:

On one book, the daily digest shows 39 people want the book; my wish list shows I'm 24 of 41 wanting it.

On the other, the daily digest shows 3 people want it; my wish list says I'm 2 of 4.

Anybody know what's going on with that?

Ginnie

One time I got a daily digest and saw a book I wanted it said 0 people were wishing for it, so I ordered the book and it was put on the WL with me #1 of 1.  What I think is that the daily digest does not show those the book has been offered to, the first person in line when it was posted.  That person isn't technically waiting for it anymore unless they are declined for RC.  Also I don't think the daily digest counts those who's lists are on vacation holds.  So book one could be one person waiting to accept and one on vacation, book two would be the one person waiting to accept.

I think.

I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time lol but that is what kinda makes sense to me.

Ginnie and Tammy,

What's a daily digest and how do you know where you are at on the WL for a particular book?  Thanks.

Thanks, Tammy.  That might be it.

Marcia, the daily digest is a list of books that have been posted on any given day.  You can pick as many genres as you want to follow and each day you'll get a list of what was posted in those genres.  To set it up, go to My Account; you'll see a tab for Daily Digest.  Just check the categories you want to follow.

In your wish list, if you'll put your mouse over the grey exclamation point, it will tell you where you are on the wish list for each book.

Hope that helps!

Ginnie

Tammy: I think w/that book someone had probably ordered it right before you and so it put it on your WL instead.  I don't know what to say about the Daily Digest. I think people put too much emphasis on their spot in the line.  There's just too many factors to make you move up or down a spot or 2 on a regular basis-accounts in hold. deals falling through, requests timing out etc...,
