A couple of days ago I was in position 7 for a WL book. Today I'm in position 8. How is that possible?

We don't have the screwy WL system forbooks that we have for DVDs.

I bet it's a hold issue. Someone put their books on hold and now they took them off hold. They don't lose their place in the line when they use the hold feature so when they unhold you could be bumped.

It could also be that a WL book went lost and the person who didn't receive the book went back to the top of the list. Pat

Also could be that someone received a WL book that they marked RWAP, which would put that person back in line.

There are a number of reasons you may bump around on the WL line.

Could be a RWAP returning to the que.  Or somebody's kids are back in school so they took their account off vacation hold...not uncommon this type of year.  We sometimes see this again around the holidays...lists get shorter when people put their wishlist on hold for the holidays and get longer again after the first of the year as they unhold wishlists.

1. offer timed out, never mailed

2. Lost

3. RWAP

4. Hold that went active.

5. Accidental posting
