I had a book come available for me. I'm on autorequest. PBS notified me it was available on 11/30; however as of this morning the sender still not has accepted to send to me. In the meantime does the sender not responding take me out of the queue. I have been in the queue several months for this book and there are others that want it too. If another one comes in who will get it? Will the next one in the queue or will I get it? I just wish they would go ahead and accept already.

If there is another copy posted while you are "waiting for member" then the next person on the WL queue would get the offer. The sender have 5 days to accept the offer, and then the option of choosing a later date to mail. Perhaps he or she is waiting until the "mail-by" window coincides with a day on which a trip to the post office is possible. Some people only mail once a week or so. Good luck, I hope you get a copy soon. Patience is a virtue that PBS almost forces one to develop ... |

Okay, I will just cross my fingers and hope the sender accepts real soon and hope that another copy does not come in in the five day period just in case they never accept. |

If the book times out you will be put back to the top of the WL. Good luck! |

I'm so happy. The sender finally accepted and mailed out the same day. I fretted for nothing. |
