"This book tears at the heart and shows, in no uncertain terms, why forgiving an enemy is the call of every Christian."--Francine Rivers

This was just a little too sad for my taste. I love a happy ending, but this one seemed too long to get there. Still a very nice reminder that God is with us even when things seem unbelievably bad in our lives.

Great book. How a family copes with the death of father and daughter during a car accident caused by a drunk driver. It goes thru the court process and what happens during the proceedings to the family. Very enlightening to someone who has never had to go thru this.
What happens to Hannah Ryan and her family is terrible. A drunk driver wrecks their family in a split second. I found myself judging Hannah for being so angry. However, I'm sure that her feelings and emotions are completely in keeping with the circumstances. The story is easy to read and the ending overs hope.
