This is an excellent entry into Marcia Muller's acclaimed Sharon McCone series. This one takes place in Hawaii, where a friend is having trouble with sabotage--and eventually murder--in connection with the filming of a documentary.

San Francisco Private Investigator Sharon McCone is up to her usual sleuthing tricks in this cleverly-plotted and complex mystery. She gets a change of scenery with some exciting action set in Hawaii.

The plot has some intriguing twists and turns and at last all of the secrets are revealed. Marcia Muller and her heroine have matured over the 20-plus years that this series has been written, and this book does not disappoint.
