This exceptional book gives a wonderful insight into life in a 13th century town, and readers of all ages will be intrigued by the informative illustrations, which, with the complementary text, answer so many questions about life in medieval England. The author spent her childhood on a farm in Lincolnshire. She served in the WRNS during the war and then went to the Byam Shaw Art School where she met and married Carlos Sancha, the portrait painter. This book is the climax to four years research into life in a 13th century town. Walter Dragun's Town is a stimulating companion to The Luttrell Village, the author's previous book.
