Fabulous novel. Kathleen Winsor had an amazing talent for capturing the historical, political and emotional settings of her stories. You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy this book - it gets slow in spots but picks up just as you're wondering when it will. Excellent, it's a shame she passed before we got to read more of her.
